Citizens of Which Countries Need an Airport Transit Schengen Visa?:
Afghanistan Bangladesh Dem. Rep. Of Congo Eritrea Ethiopia Ghana Iran Iraq Nigeria Pakistan Somalia Sri Lanka Zimbabwe
"However, there are exceptions concerning the Airport Transit Visa for specific individuals. In the following scenarios, nationals of the countries mentioned above are not required to obtain an airport transit visa:
If the person possesses a residency permit from a Schengen member country or holds a valid Schengen Visa for either short stays or long stays.
If the person possesses a residency permit from countries such as Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino, or the USA, it guarantees their legal residence status.
If the person holds a valid Schengen visa or a valid visa for entering one of the EFTA countries, as well as Canada, Japan, or the United States, even if they are returning from one of these specific countries after using the visa.
If the person is a close family member of an EU citizen.
If the person holds a diplomatic passport."
